While some might think the losing record of the former Premier League studs is reason enough to sack the coach, we've found that it isn't quite that simple. Mourinho just signed a new four-year contract this summer, so owner Roman Abramovich most likely doesn't want to have to pay that out and then pay a new, incoming manager. Plus, Abramovich reportedly supported keeping Mourinho as the manager last month, but has the most recent stint of losses changed his mind?

What would you do if you were in Abramovich's shoes? Answer our poll question below to share your thoughts:

Meanwhile, star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo recently commented on Mourinho and Chelsea's woes, stating that he isn't surprised at the failure, but only because the sport is very unpredictable.

"I'm not surprised because anything can happen in football. Of course, he's a manager I was working with for two years and I know his potential. I know that not just him but Chelsea are in a tough situation," the Real Madrid star explained. "As a Portuguese man, I want to see the Portuguese at the top level all the time. So this is what I wish for him that he can go through this bad situation and make Chelsea fans happy because they deserve it."

While this is certainly a diplomatic response, do you agree with Ronaldo?
