The story of DJ Arch Jnr has become known around the world. As the young 3-year-old DJ has advanced through the rounds of South Africa's Got Talent, he has captured our hearts and minds with his short DJ performances. Now Arch Jnr has been crowned champion of the whole competition after raising the crowd and judges once again to their feet for a standing ovation.
Arch Jnr grew into an internet sensation after his performance was shared all across the internet last month. At 3 years old he is the youngest individual to win the competition.
While Arch Jnr may not be beta matching, spinning vinyl or mixing with the same skill as some of the world's best on the decks, he is twisting knobs with some of the best of them on the main stage and already knows how to rock a crowd before he can properly address them on the mic. Maybe we should keep up this trend since DJs talk too much on the mic.
He clearly has developed a good portion of his DJing repertoire, give him another 5-7 years and he will be out there on the festival circuit as a budding 10-year-old. Ultra South Africa better get ready to open the checkbook for DJ Arch Jnr.
Footage from the final can be seen where you can see how his dad helps out with creating the set list and the live set up, which includes two lap tops, one as a countdown timer and another that has the tracks loaded on them.
The reaction has been generally positive toward DJ Arch Jnr, but there have been some accusations of exploitations against the parents, notably the father. As Mixmag reports, the family will put aside the $35,000 in a trust fund to improve the youngster's living conditions and pay for education.
