Glastonbury Organizer Michael Eavis Says "There's A Place" for Miley Cyrus at the Festival

After denying reports that outspoken pop star Miley Cyrus would perform at Glastonbury 2016, festival organizer Michael Eavis recently admitted that "there's a place" for the marijuana-friendly singer at the popular music gathering in England.

Backtracking on an earlier statement that said Cyrus won't be involved, claims have been made that there are "initial plans, which are in very early stages" for the Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz singer to tackle Worthy Farm in 2016. "Miley's been on the Eavis radar for a while," a source told The Sun notes NME. "She's outrageous and there was interest in previous years, around the time of her 'Bangerz' tour last year and when her godmother Dolly Parton played the Pyramid [Stage]."

In a new interview with Loaded, Eavis elaborated on the possibility of Cyrus joining the festival's lineup. "People keep asking me if Miley Cyrus is playing, I can't say 'Yes' or 'No' to any name, because it only adds to the speculation about who will be appearing," he said, before adding: "I think everyone has a place at Glastonbury," he explained.

"We have 20 different stages at Glastonbury, and that's one of the things that helps make it the greatest show on earth. We've had Kanye West, Beyoncé, Metallica and Jay Z headline Glastonbury, and that's shown that everyone is welcome," Eavis continued.

The festival organizer told Radio 1 in September that all headliners for the next two festival installments have been booked. Four of the six choices have previously led the lineup while two are bright new additions to the bill. With or without the "Dooo It!", Glastonbury Festival 2016 will take place at Worthy Farm from June 22 to June 26.

Cyrus and her pals in The Flaming Lips will take on a six-date theater tour as well as an all-nude gig--that's right, even the audience.
