Earlier this week, Young Thug and Metro Boomin engaged in a brief Twitter beef but it appears the two Atlanta natives have made amends. On Thursday (Nov. 12), Metro released Thugger’s “Hercules,” which he produced. The beat maker also took to social media to note that the beef had been squashed.

In a slew of tweets, Metro cleared up his online spat with Thug. He denounced rumors that the beef between the two was fabricated. Many initially assumed the incident was a publicity stunt after the Slime Season 2 rapper announced the collab.

"There was a misunderstanding with real emotions but it's resolved. Thugger my brother 4 life," Metro tweeted. Shortly thereafter, he retweeted Thug would replied with a couple emojis and “ily 4life.”

At the end of the night, fans got a new track.

The initial exchange was sparked by a few blurbs Metro shared on Twitter about rappers releasing multiple projects and imitating the current mixtape trend, which he said Future popularized. Apparently, Thug took offense and responded with more direct tweets.

Following a mention of the DS2 rapper, he also jumped on social media to throw in a quick jab. As previously noted, Metro and Future have put out a bunch of music together in recent months, including contributions to the rapper’s WATTBA with Drake and a heap of his third studio album, DS2.

Earlier this month, Thug released his Slime Season 2 mixtape, which features a track titled “All Over” produced by Metro and Southside. Metro also produced “Be Me See Me” from the first edition of Slime Season. In October, Metro noted similarities between the two Atlanta rappers during an interview with Pitchfork.

"Working with Thug and working with Future feels the same. They don't sound like each other, but their creative process and their level of talent is the same. Anybody who knows both of them would agree," the 22-year-old producer said.

In the past, they’ve all collaborated on tracks like “Chanel Vintage.” Let’s hope they can all work together again soon.
