Back in July, it was revealed that 2 Chainz was being sued for $5 million for a viral video of him calling a girl a “thot.” Things just got a little more interesting as the woman in the video, Christine Chisholm, recently accused the rapper of putting a hit out on her.
Chisholm claims that while she was out running, she noticed that a black Mercedes began following her. The car reportedly drove into her, injuring her arm before driving off. She believes that the driver was intent on causing more harm and the incident was set up by the “I’m Different” rapper. Chisholm also claims that Chainz has visited her neighborhood in South Carolina in an attempt to collect more information about her.
According to TMZ, Chisholm has filed an addendum to her previous lawsuit and cites lyrics from Chainz’s recent song "Watch Out" as evidence. Specifically, she cites the lines, "Shawty said she want 5 million / Cause I told her to leave and called her a thot," and, later in the same verse, "You waving that thing in the sky / We waving that thing at your body / We waving that thing in your eye.”
The entire ordeal can be linked back to a nearly three and a half minute video, which features 2 Chainz poking fun at Chisholm back stage at a concert and eventually asking her to leave. In the clip, Chainz referred to Chisholm as a "THOT," an acronym for "that ho over there." Reports indicate that the video, shared online as #IsThisYoThot, was recorded after Chainz and one of his frequent collaborators, Cap-1, realized that Chisholm wasn't who they thought she was.
In her lawsuit, Chisholm notes that the video received 80 million views and thousands of comments. She also claims that the video cost her her job. Chainz and his legal team have responded saying that Chisholm does not have a case and that being called a "ho" is not a fact that can actually harm your reputation.
