Things got a little too spooky at the MTV Movie Awards last night (April 14). After dropping the No. 1 hit late last year, Eminem and Rihanna finally gave "The Monster" a live debut on stage, as the two music megastars prepare for their trio of co-headlining shows this summer.
The first MTV performance from Eminem and Rihanna together in four years kicked off with huge flash of red lights and smoke, as Rihanna started on one side of the stage with the track's hook. Soon, Eminem came blasting onto the other side of the stage, delivering his raps with a little more fervor than past performances (though that ever-present backing track was around in full force).
The two kept to their own sides of the stage until the end of the performance but managed to keep those still-MTV-lovin' teens in the audience pumped. Eminem wandered across the platform, engaging with members of the crowd, while Rihanna remained tight over on the left side of the stage.
At the end of the performance, the two converged in the center for a hug. You gotta love the power of friendship (and a hit single).
