Neymar Jr. is easily one of the most marketable and talented athletes in the world, so you might not be surprised to hear that he's facing some tax issues regarding his public image in his home country of Brazil and in Spain, where he lives, playing for Barcelona FC. According to the goal-scorer's father and business manager, Neymar is currently rethinking his contract renewal in Barcelona due to money issues, which could mean the departure of the star footballer. Considering there are already transfer rumors surrounding the player, even more speculation has exploded this week, mainly coming from (you guessed it) the Barclays Premier League teams like Manchester United and more. Find out what Neymar's dad had to say about his taxes below.

ESPN FC reports that tax inspectors from Brazil and Spanish authorities are putting tons of pressure on Neymar and his family, resulting in some uneasy feelings about remaining in the country.
"We are talking about [Neymar's contract] renewal, but there are things which we need to resolve. We are receiving attacks from Brazil and from Spain," Neymar Sr. explained (via Sport / Sky Sports). "If we can't work in Spain, we will have to leave. We need to end these investigations, that they tell us what we can do."
Neymar's father, who handles his business and money concerns, added: "We pay taxes [on the images] in Brazil because the company that manages the rights is there and it has nothing to do with his salary. I don't want to speak about persecution, but is we don't have a comfortable situation we cannot stay. We've never had fiscal problems. [But] Neymar doesn't feel the pressure. He is aware of the responsibility that he has to be a special player, but that doesn't make him uncomfortable."
According to The Mirror, United is currently at the top of the transfer rumors regarding acquiring Neymar - if this contract renewal does indeed fall through.
