50 Cent Responds to Derek Jeter Quitting Frigo Because of the Rapper

It seems as if 50 Cent's Mets fandom has solidified a bit this week. In response to rumors that New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter had ended his relationship with the Swedish underwear company Frigo after the rapper got involved, 50 said, "Let's go Mets?"

Many remember 50's disastrous opening pitch for the Mets last year. Donning the number "50", the Queens-born rapper threw the ball extremely wide to the left, earning him ridicule from commentators and fellow rappers alike. However, 50 appeared to take the incident in stride, as he laughed and signed autographs in the immediate aftermath. Hopefully, Mets fans will embrace their new peer with open arms.

As it appears, former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter signed a three-year contract as a director of the Swedish underwear company Frigo. Jeter insisted that his involvement in the company be made public. However, two years into the contract, Frigo named Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as their brand ambassador.

Apparently, this angered Jeter, who felt that 50's presence made the company too "urban," according to HipHopDx. After he decided to leave the company, Frigo announced that they are suing the former Yankee for the value lost in the company following his departure.

In the caption of an image 50 posted on Instagram of Jeter, the rapper said, "Wow, guess I'm not a Yankee fan anymore. LETS GO METS? Man you can't trust nobody these day.smh #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO," ending his social media presence with a commonly used plug for the various businesses in which he is involved.

It seems that Derek Jeter will be one of many on a long list of individuals with whom 50 Cent has some degree of a feud.
