In October, it was reported that incarcerated Migos member Offset had been denied bail. According to a recent update from fellow members Quavo and Takeoff, he will be released soon.
During an interview with VladTV, Quavo and Takeoff spoke on Offset’s current jail situation.
“He gon’ be back soon,” Quavo said. “That’s my brother. He’s just going through it… We talk to him everyday.”
In April, all three members of the group were arrested and reportedly charged with "possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in a school safety zone and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime" during their performance at Georgia Southern University.
Takeoff and Quavo were later released, but Offset remained in jail due to his felony record.
“He coming home real soon,” Takeoff added later in the interview. “He got his head up, man. We letting him know. He staying in tune. He knows what’s going on. He good. He straight. He ain’t worry about nothing.”
Late last month, Offset’s bail was denied for the third time. Unfortunately, Offset has been behind bars for much of the group's mainstream success. He was noticeably absent from many of the group's early videos, including one for their breakout hit "Bando." He was also locked up when the group released its major label debut, Yung Rich Nation, back in July.
The initial arrest forced the Migos to push back their Yung Rich Nation tour and delay the album's release. The Migos released their feature-less Back to the Bando mixtape in September.
