Following the recent firing of Houston Rockets head coach Kevin McHale, Lil B took to social media claiming that the action was a result of his BasedGod curse. Veteran Texas rapper Bun B promptly responded saying that the Bay Area rhymer shouldn’t demand credit for the cooking dance that Pimp C created.
TMZ caught up with Bun B and he shot down claims that Lil B originated the dance.
"I've known Lil B since he was in the Pack," he said. "I support him musically. But we don't buy into that because we know that Pimp C created [the cooking dance], not Lil B. We don't stand for that."
The outlet sent out a tweet with a link to an article about the “Draped Up” rapper’s comments. The tweet earned a response from Lil B, who claimed his elder had been “misinformed.”
"@TMZ I admire and respect bun b fully and appreciate him and pimp c more then ever but on the Lil B cooking dance he is misinformed - Lil B," he wrote.
Bun B responded, saying he retains his stance.
"I respectfully agree to disagree with @lilbthebasedgod on this issue," Bun B wrote. "But it's all love on both sides."
Back in May, Lil B claimed to have put his curse on Houston Rockets guard James Harden for not crediting him with his cooking dance. The curse was reportedly lifted and then placed again in October after Harden posted a photo of himself doing the dance. He has also cursed Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant.
Pimp C's widow is preparing the release of Long Live the Pimp, which is slated for a December 4 release. The album is slated to feature the likes of A$AP Rocky, Nas, Bun B, Lil Wayne, Slim Thug, Juicy J, David Banner and T.I. It’ll be the first full-length collection of new material from C since 2011’s Still Pimping.
Earlier this month, Mass Appeal released the album's presumed first single "3 Way Freak" featuring Lil Wayne.
