Kaskade Remixes Thomas Sagstad "Burned" Following 'Automatic' Release

Despite releasing an album Automatic just two months ago, American dance icon Kaskade is back with a brand new production. Focusing his vision on his bubbling imprint Arkade, the "Disarm You" DJ has remixed Swedish-born producer Thomas Sagstad's song with Swedish collective Wildo titled "Burning."

Kaskade had been rinsing out this remix on his recent Automatic Tour across the United States in October, where we caught him at Pier 94 in New York City on Oct. 24.

Kaskade adds a bit of his magic with a dance-floor-ready bass line, soaring synths and pianos, while the vocals from Wildo match the level of euphoria provided by the instrumental harmonies. Kaskade does not remix many songs each year, sticking to original productions that eventually end up on albums, but it is good to see him put on for his label with something like this that will serve him well during the long days ahead on the road.

Thomas Sagsted is no stranger to Arkade and to the Kaskade sphere of influence. The pair teamed up about a year-and-a-half ago on a remix of Morning Parade's "Under The Stars" that has a similar vibe and feel to this rework of "Burning."

Kaskade released his ninth artist album Automatic on Sept. 25. The LP features the likes of CID, Galantis, Tess Comrie, K.Flay, Kolaj, John Dalhbäck and others. He has been touring constantly since then and will close out the year with gigs in Asia, Europe and North America. He will cap off the year with a run of shows leading up to New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at Snowglobe, Insomniac's Countdown and Lights All Night in Dallas.
