Actor Idris Elba may be living that "I Ain't Got No Type" life that singer Rae Sremmurd sings about since reports have surfaced that he had eyes for a variety of women, including R&B soul singers, K. Michelle and Angie Stone. A man of many tastes, he has no one "type" of lady he goes for.
Idris Elba is probably ranked pretty high on the "I would love to have him" list for most women. And as it seems, those women may just have a shot with Elba since, from the looks of it, he doesn't seem to have a particular "type" of woman that he dates. The Wire actor reportedly had his sights set on soul singer Angie Stone back in 2004 when he played her leading man in her music video for the single, "I Wanna Thank Ya." According to Rolling Out, Stone revealed how Elba was sweet on her during that time and wasn't shy about letting people know how he felt for her.
According to the site, the former R&B Divas castmate revealed to Madame Noire just how much Elba was attracted to her, but the feelings were not mutual. "When Idris and I were working on that song, Idris was actually crushing on me," Stone said. "The sad part about it is I wasn't checking for him like that." The "2 Bad Habits" singer spoke of how at the time she had already "been with" singer D'Angelo and the two had a child together. She recalls being surrounded by good looking men at a certain time in her life and the feeling was overwhelming. She did recall one moment of weakness she had for Elba when doing the video shoot.
"There is one weak moment that I had because I have a thing for beautiful teeth," she explained. "And he came to the door, and I opened the door, and he was twirling this toothpick around in his teeth, and I fell on the side of the door like, 'Okay, what's happening to me?'" (Watch that scene at :56 in the video below)
Elba also shared a moment of interest with another R&B singer, K. Michelle, who has been all but shy about her love for the No Good Deed actor. The former Love And Hip Hop Atlanta castmate appeared on The Wendy Williams Show, where she revealed details about her past 8-month relationship with Elba that ended and ultimately left her heartbroken. Essence reported on her talk show appearance where she told Williams and the audience how the two met at the Soul Train Awards and "just clicked" instantly. Though Elba has never spoken publicly about his relationship with the Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart singer, she has held nothing back and reportedly spoke on how Elba was the inspiration behind the her last album and how the relationship ended because he was expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Naiyana Garth.
Garth and Elba welcomed their son, Winston, back in 2014. Winston is Elba's second child. From the photos below, you can see how the only similarities in these women is the interest Elba shared in all of them.
