John Stamos Given 3 Years Probation, Counseling and AA Meetings for DUI

Actor John Stamos has been sentenced to three years probation, drug and alcohol counseling and over 50 alcoholics anonymous meeting after pleading no contest to his June DUI case.

The Full House (and reboot, Fuller House) actor initially faced six month in jail after driving under the influence of drugs in June 2015 according to The Wrap. The one-count misdemeanor charge was obtained in Beverly Hills, after police received a report of an erractic driver. When law enforcement arrived at the specified location, they found Stamos behind the wheel of the vehicle, presumably intoxicated. He was admitted to medical care where doctors confirmed that the actor was indeed under the influence.

According to TMZ, it was found that Stamos was under the influence of a drug called GHB and another "non-narcotic drug." The actor checked into a rehab facility shortly after his arrest where spent 30 days getting himself together. In addition to the time spent in rehab, he now has to complete two hours of drug and alcohol conuseling and attend 52 AA meetings in an effort to avoid any jail time.

Upon his return from rehab, the Uncle Jesse character tweeted his fans letting them know that he's feeling great.

The actor received full support from his Fuller House castmates who tweeted how pleased they were with his return. Lori Loughlin, who plays his wife on the Full House sitcom, tweeted this:

ET Online also reported the support of additional co-star Candace Cameron, co-host of the ABC daytime talk show The View, who stated, "I love him. We love him." She continued, "And if this is what he needs, to spend time to get things together, we're all supportive and glad he's there and know that things will be good when he comes back. I support him, and we'll support him."
