Clint Black has announced a new tour just in time for the holiday season. The tour spans 12 dates and is slated to begin Dec. 1 in Florida and run through New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Iowa, Missouri and Oklahoma, ending in Black's home base of Texas on Dec. 20. The tour is a holiday tradition for the country star and fans can anticipate songs from his Looking for Christmas and Christmas With You albums.
As reported by Rolling Stone Country, Black will additionally be performing some of his classic Christmas tunes, including "Milk and Cookies," "Coolest Pair" and "The Kid." The singer-songwriter is also set to perform songs from his new album, On Purpose – his first since decade-old Drinkin' Songs and Other Logic.
On Purpose can be counted as his 10th full-length album since Killin' Time made waves in the country music industry way back in 1989.
"I like some of the songs I'm hearing on radio, but we're going backwards with sounds," he said in a recent interview with RS. "I don't mind hearing reverb and distortion, but I want to hear the different instruments. The musicians who are playing on this record are Mozarts."
The country music business has drastically changed since Black released Killin' Time and the down home crooner didn't seem to be concerned with the opinions of radio programmers when recording the new album.
Tickets for his holiday tour can be purchased on his official artist website.
