Only two days trailing the cancellation of a pair of scheduled appearances for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Justin Bieber crashed and popped up on stage in the middle of The Chainsmokers L.A. performance instead.
According to Billboard, the 21-year-old shocked the Shrine auditorium crowd when he appeared at the Friday, Nov 27 gig--The Chainsmokers may have had a scheduled show but the "I'll Show You" singer most certainly did not. He dazzled the crowd with renditions of his hit tracks "Where Are U Now" and "Sorry" with tons of fan-shot footage uploaded to the Internet.
Ansel Elgort, The Fault in Our Stars actor-turned EDM DJ, was in attendance at the show and uploaded his own snap chats of the "What Do You Mean?" singer. Bieber made sure to chat with the crowd a bit to express his "honor" of being allowed to perform on stage with The Chainsmokers and for being allowed to crash their party.
After taking a break from music in an attempt to better himself and his childish antics, the Canadian pop star recently dropped his latest studio album, Purpose, which has seen rave reviews. Scheduled to perform during the Thanksgiving Parade and stop by the Late Show to promote his new album, Bieber dropped both gigs last minute, citing personal problems as the issue and nothing more, NY Daily News reports. "@StephenAtHome thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our ass and we need to deal with it. I will see u soon. Thank you (sic)," he wrote. How "Sorry" is Bieber, really? Seeing as how he ditched the Late Night gig for a chance at jumping around on stage alongside The Chainsmokers. Perhaps Colbert will poke fun at the situation, Bieber will schedule another visit, or quite possibly both.
