Sinead O'Connor Attempted Suicide After Facebook Note, Now Safe Per Reports

Irish singer Sinead O'Connor has been through a lot over the past 48 hours and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. After posting a lengthy suicide note to her Facebook page yesterday morning (November 29), the artist supposedly attempted suicide by overdosing in an Irish hostel prior to being nursed back to health under medical supervision. She is now safe and sound.

In the note, the singer says she has been the victim of "a horrific set of betrayals" from her family. "I have taken an overdose," she stated. "There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name. If I wasn't posting this, my kids and family wouldn't even find out."

She did not provide her exact location or the name of the hostel, however, Irish police later found her and helped to get her proper medical attention according to BreakingNews.ie. While she is currently safe and sound, she jumped right back onto Facebook with a new vicious note penned to her family, stating "Jake, Roisin, Jr., Frank, Donal, Eimear, I never wanna see you again... You stole my sons from me. Then you had hypocrisy to come to hospital and then not be here when I wake and not pick up phone? I'm sh*t to you. You're dead to me. You killed your mother. You stole my sons. You left me alone for 12 weeks!"

O'Connor's two youngest sons, Shane and Yeshua, have supposedly become wards of the state according to a court document the artist had shared earlier this month. She has struggled with bipolar disorder for some time now, even admitting, back in 2003 on the Oprah show, to attempting suicide once before.

O'Connor also recently spoke out about mental illness following the unfortunate passing of one of comedy's greatest actors, Robin Williams. If you're still not familiar with her, you may remember her from her 1990 cover of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2U" which achieved her global success.
