As Blake Shelton moves on from his divorce with a new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, his ex-wife Miranda Lambert is moving on by being stronger than ever before. The "Little Red Wagon" singer covered the January 2016 cover of Cosmopolitan magazine and she proved that she's moving on, even it involves crying into a glass of whiskey.
Lambert, who along with Shelton has been hush-hush about the reasons behind her shocking divorce, did say that she's still "processing everything and figuring out where to go and what happened." But, is she open to love again? Lambert is open to it, but she seems more in tune with the level of commitment necessary to make a marriage last beyond "I do" and shiny rings.
"If I ever were to get married again - which is completely not on my radar at all right now - I feel like it's not about it being a step in life. It's not about a piece of paper or a diamond. It's the way you feel about somebody and the commitment in your heart," she said.
And even though Lambert is going through a bit of heartbreak right now, the country superstar seems OK with that. She's accepting a life full of emotions, even if that means some long nights and days,
"I just want to live a life full of everything. Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, 'Man this sucks right now.' I don't necessarily want to know that I have really bad, long, lonely nights ahead of me, but I have had some, and I still have a bunch ahead of me," she said. "But it's about living in the moment and feeling every tinge of pain, then waking up the next day and going, 'All right, I'm going to ride my ponies. I'm going to have a girls' night.' That's where I am. That's where I'm gonna live."
