Jeremih has finally released his highly anticipated Late Nights: The Album. The release came as a surprise to fans and will be accompanied by a release show series.
After a series of delays, Jeremih’s third LP was to digital retailers on Thursday (Dec. 3) evening. The 15-track project was led by the double-platinum hit “Don’t Tell ‘Em” featuring YG and the J. Cole-assisted “Planez.” The album also features guest spots from Big Sean, Future, Migos, Jhené Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J and Twista.
As noted by Rolling Stone, the singer's label, Def Jam, pushed back the album's release several times last year. Subsequently, an official date was never confirmed.
During an interview with Billboard, Jeremih directly blamed the label.
My label is hesitating and not being on my side," he told the publication. "I see other artists and how they're supported. It's hard when I'm on a roster with Rihanna, Rick Ross and Kanye West."
To celebrate the album's long awaited release, Jeremih will headline three intimate shows in New York City (Dec. 4), Chicago (12/6), and Los Angeles (12/10). The concerts are free for fans who sign up.
Jeremih released his last studio album, All About You, back in 2010. Unlike his debut, which featured the single "Birthday Sex," his sophomore album did not fare as well commercially. Since its release, Jeremih has made guest appearances on a slew of records including Meek Mill's "Amen," Nicki Minaj's "Favorite" and DJ Khaled's "Hold You Down."
His Late Nights with Jeremih mixtape was released back in 2012. Stream Late Nights: The Album below:
