Jared Leto: new album
In the leaked video posted by TMZ, Leto and an unnamed bandmate are in the recording studio listening to Swift's Grammy-nominated album 1989 as they prep to record the follow-up to 2013's Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams. Leto quickly dismisses the record's opening track "Welcome to New York," but approves of "Style" as a "nice little pop song" and praises "Blank Space" for nailing a crossover between Sia's beats and Charli XCX's bite.
But, the real kicker comes at the end of their listening session when Leto fully dismisses Swift and her massive pop album.
"F*ck her. I don't give a f*ck about her. It's whatever works best for us," Leto can be heard saying in the video.
Shortly after the video was posted online, Swift's fans raged against Leto on Twitter, leading for him to openly apologize to Swift.
For her own part, Swift seems to be staying out of the drama, at least online. She hasn't tweeted since Sunday.
