The 14-week chart-topping reign of "Uptown Funk" is the second-best ever in history (Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" was No. 1 for 16 weeks) and the single's amazing chart run made it an easy No. 1 for the year.
Though it seemed like it would be the sole No. 1 for 2015 for a while, other songs eventually landed the top honor and thus found easy ways into the top 10 of Billboard's 2015 Hot 100. Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again," which ruled this summer, is the No. 3 song of the year, Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" landed at No. 7 and The Weeknd's fall No. 1 Beauty Behind the Madness track "The Hills" arrived at No. 10, just below his Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack single "Earned It" at No. 9.
The late arrival of Adele's six-week No. 1 "Hello" hindered her year-end numbers -- the lead 25 cut landed at a mere No. 35.
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" never actually rose to No. 1 on the Hot 100, but its strong performance all year helped make it the No. 2 track of 2015.
Other hits that made massive impacts also landed in the top 10. Viral videos helped Maroon 5's "Sugar" and Silento's "Watch Me" land in the top 10, while crossover hits such as Fetty Wap's rap smash "Trap Queen" and Walk the Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" also fared well.
