Lady Gaga Thrilled Over Her Golden Globe Nomination for 'American Horror Story'

Following her widely publicized turn in American Horror Story: Hotel, Lady Gaga is thrilled over a recent Golden Globe nomination for her role as The Countess in season 5. Created by Ryan Murphy, the series is enormously popular amongst fans and Lady Gaga is likely a big part of the increasingly popularity due to her star quality.

The nod that Gaga received was for best performance by an actress in a miniseries or motion picture created for television for her acting job as the vampiress. Once the singer got the good news, she took to social media to share it with her fans.

"I apologize to my neighbors I'm still screaming in my apt in NY! I'm nominated as an actress for a Golden Globe what I dream is this real!" She wrote on Twitter.

She additionally posted a photo of her and her manager Bobby Campbell celebrating on Instagram.

It makes sense that Gaga would be so convincing in a horror based series since in a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, she talked about her intense love of the genre. Among her favorite shows she listed Snapped, Dateline and The Jinx. She described how focusing on the motives behind the killings makes her unperturbed by horror films, which fuels her turn as The Countess, Elizabeth Cortez.

"Dangerous things and horror relaxes me," she said to Fallon. "It really freaks out my friends a lot. It particularly freaks out my fiancé quite a bit as well."

She further said that she loves "the dichotomy of sex and horror at the same time."
