Pharrell Williams 'Happy' sticks at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100; Iggy Azalea 'Fancy' debuts in top 10

The Billboard Hot 100 continues its two-month long string of stagnancy this week, as (surprise!) Pharrell Williams' peppy Despicable Me 2/G I R L single "Happy" spends an astonishing 10th week atop the charts.

Yes, in a sentence that is all-too familiar these days, Pharrell's "Happy" clocks in at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of May 1, with the R&B singer starting off his spring just the way his winter went.

Pharrell's command of the Hot 100 comes with its continued successes in sales. For the 11th straight week, "Happy" topped the Digital songs chart, moving 208,000 copies. (Seriously, who hasn't bought the song by now?) Pharrell also leads the Streaming Songs chart and comes in high at radio -- but "Happy" fell from the No. 1 spot.

That honor goes to the perpetual No. 2 track, John Legend's "All Of Me," which spends a sixth week in the runner-up spot.

After a little flip-flop last week, Katy Perry and Juicy J's "Dark Horse" climbs back to No. 3, sliding Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty" back to No. 4. That stagnant, three-week same top seven is back (kind of), with the top four positions holding the same positions they sat in for three weeks once again.

No. 5 is a bit of a shakeup in the midst of all the chart monotony, as DJ Snake and Lil Jon's "Turn Down For What" breaks into the chart's topmost ranks. Beneath that, a chilly familiar song, Idina Menzel's Frozen anthem "Let It Go" slips to No. 6.

A debut cracks the top 10, really shaking up the stagnant charts, as Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX's "Fancy" jumps up 11 spots, landing at No. 7. 109,000 digital downloads, 4.2 million streams and 37 million radio impressions helped to break this The New Classic track into the top 10.

The rest of the chart, however, is all too much the same. Bastille's "Pomeii," Justin Timberlake's "Not A Bad Thing" and Chris Brown's "Loyal" all loom at the bottom half of the charts, respectively at Nos. 8-10.

That means it's time out for Lorde's "Team," which fell out of the top 10 after peaking at No. 6.

Next week, there will be a real "Problem" in the top 10, as Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea's stellar new single is aiming for a debut near the top of the charts. Thank goodness.
