Drake's "Hotline Bling" has been the most celebrated song this year. With remakes by Erykah Badu and Justin Bieber already out, it comes as no surprise that everybody else wants to join in. So of course, W Magazine grabbed a handful of celebrities and put them in front of a camera to recite "Hotline Bling." As you probably guessed, it was magical.
Amy Schumer, Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks took their parts quite seriously as they looked straight into the camera and recited their lines with a little bit of pain in their voices. Brie Larson and Saoirse Ronan took the laid-back approach as they pulled out their best dance moves and singing voices. But the best part is when Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston pulls out his Walter White voice. I wouldn't want to be the one to break up with Walter White after watching this. Watch the hilarious video below.
"Hotline Bling" peaked at No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts this year and was named No.3 on Rollingstone's "50 Best Songs of 2015." To top it off, the track was named the most blogged about topic of the year on Tumblr. Though the track was not submitted for the 2015 Grammy nominations, we all know that it basically dominated this year. The proof is in the pudding: Drake was named the most streamed artist of 2015 on Spotify.
If you want inspiration on how your own "Hotline Bling" remake should be, you should definitely check out the Obama mashup. If the President of the United States can do it, we all can. Even Adele wanted to make a remix with Drake. Of course, Drake expressed his interest by offering to wash Adele's laundry. Strange, but who wouldn't want to collab with Adele? We could picture it now: Adele's sweet voice calling the "Hotline Bling" just to say "Hello." Beautiful.
