Each and every week we put together our favorite tracks that had premiered a few days prior into one magnificent mixtape to share with you and your friends. This time around we've decided to share new 2015 songs from Fetty Wap, Ariana Grande, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and more right here!
You can check out more buzzing news coverage from Music Times right here!
You might be wondering why one of the biggest movies of the year (and possibly of the last number of years) is mentioned in our intro this week. Well, a few days ago we were treated to a stream of the soundtrack and score of Star Wars: The Force Awakens by the legendary film composer John Williams! The score is available on Spotify, but we've also embedded the soundtrack right here:
You know who'd love the above stream? Ariana Grande! The pop songstress recently shared a funny web video of her weighing in on the classic "Who Shot First?" debate from the original film, A New Hope. Check it out right here!
Oh, and also, Ariana surprised us all last week with an early holiday present: a new EP entitled Christmas and Chill! Check it out right here!
Since we shared the Star Wars soundtrack with you, another highly anticipated film of the holiday season also shared a stream of its score by another great composer. Quentin Tarrantino's The Hateful Eight hits theaters this week, and the score composed by Ennio Morricone is streaming right now! Click here and listen now!
Since we're sharing a number of streams with you already, how about a couple more?
Cage the Elephant released their new album, Tell Me I'm Pretty, this week, and you can stream it now! Listen to this record right here!
Baroness also released a new album. Purple, which is streaming on YouTube right now, is the first album since the band's tragic 2012 bus crash.
As if all of these streams above weren't enough, we even have a brand new track from the enigmatic David Bowie to share with you this week. His latest song is entitled "Lazarus," and it certainly has us excited for more Bowie in 2016! Listen to this song right here:
Our favorite artist of 2015, Fetty Wap, dropped a brand new track this week entitled "Handgun," reuniting with Remy Boyz and getting fans excited for the future. Listen to "Handgun" right here:
Staying in the world of hip-hip, we also have a new collaboration between A$AP Ferg and Future entitled "New Level." This is definitely a hot track to remind us that these two MCs are worth keeping on our minds heading into the New Year. Have a listen right here!
Of course, we aren't going to forget some of the best covers of the last week!
Check out Philly indie rockers Hop Along take on Rage Against the Machine's "Bombtrack" live right here:
We must end this week's mix with Lady Gaga's cover of Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York." It's absolutely splendid! Check it out right here:
If you're looking to share some music with a pal or a significant other, we think that this new mix is perfect for such a gift! Enjoy these songs together!
Who will you share this new Mixtape with this week? Let us know in the comments section below!
