According to a new interview with the 87-year-old composer, it looks like they're going to work together again on Tarantino's next movie, though nobody knows what kind of film it will be. -

Ennio Morricone's Los Angeles concert, interview with Quentin Tarantino delayed due to surgery
Legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone announced Thursday that he would need to postpone two Los Angeles events due to back surgery. The composer, best known for his work with Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns such as "Fistful of Dollars" and "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly," was scheduled to sit down for an interview with director Quentin Tarantino on March 18 and conduct a 200-member orchestra on March 20. -

Someone once asked me at a classical music awards ceremony--one which specialized in “crossover," that strange category that was, I believe, invented just to give record shops somewhere to put all of those albums that once would have come under the then-defunct heading of “easy listening” (and what the heck does that mean?)--a really difficult question.
