Jose Mourinho was sacked last week from his position as manager of defending Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea FC after a sad 2015/2016 season of games, but it looks like he isn't going far for his next job. Reports suggest that Manchester United are interested in the Portuguese coach amid rumors of current manager Louis Van Gaal facing firing before 2016.

The Daily Star quotes a source that says Mourinho is allegedly desperate to stay in the Premier League at a top club, and is very willing to take a pay cut. In fact, the insider says that "it is not about the money."
According to a number of reports, Van Gaal's future at the club is in discussion this week, with a confirmation coming soon (via The Daily Star).
United midfielder Juan Mata, who was also coached by Mourinho briefly at Chelsea a number of years ago, recently opened up about Manchester's woes this season.
"We are in a complicated situation and in order to get out of it we have to stick together and believe in ourselves so we can get a positive result as soon as possible," he said, according to The Telegraph. "We all feel frustrated, the same as last week, and we need to win a game as quickly as possible because it will change our mood and give us confidence. I'm sure that we will turn this situation around. Our next chance to do it will be on Boxing Day at Stoke [City] and that's not an easy game. No matter how tough the situation can be, I'm not even thinking about giving up. That's my attitude day after day, I try to give the maximum regardless of things going well or bad. That's the only way to get out of this bad streak. We must keep working hard and sooner or later we will get the results we want."
Clearly there are way too many rumors about Premier League transfers these days to be totally sure which is true and what’s simply speculation. All we know is that 2016 holds some exciting moves for English football.
