Coldplay's Chris Martin Sued For Running Photographer Over With His Jeep

If you've witnessed the mild-mannered Chris Martin in action, you might find it hard to believe that the Coldplay frontman would ever run someone over with his car, however, according to a new suit filed by a photographer, Martin may have indeed tried to run him over with his Jeep.

Allegedly, according to TMZ, the singer is facing legal action following an incident in January when paparazzi photographer Richard Terry claims that the singer hit him with his vehicle. Furthermore, Terry has filed charges alleging that Martin "intentionally turned his wheel sharply to the right, causing the jeep to jump the sidewalk and hit Terry" while leaving a Santa Monica restaurant.

The lawsuit justifies its claim by accusing Martin of shockingly possessing "a significant history of repeated and ongoing violent acts against entertainment news people."

The supposed incident, for which Martin has not been charged for, was reported to have been captured on camera by a fellow photographer at the scene, which will be used as evidence.

While Martin may have to prep for the courtroom, Coldplay recently revealed they will be taking song requests from their fans for their upcoming A Head Full Of Dreams Tour.

In a recent interview, Martin announced that the band has finalized the majority of their setlist but have left a portion open for members of the audience to submit their picks via video request in a photo booth setting.

"What we will do on this tour is almost like a request segment," Martin stated during the interview. "We'd ask people to give us a reason why they want us to play that song so there is a purpose behind why we play it."

The new album, A Head Full Of Dreams, was released on Dec. 4 via Parlophone and features guest vocals from Martin's ex Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy, and Oasis' Noel Gallagher. The album's lead single "Adventure Of A Lifetime" was accompanied by a strange CGI-monkey music video, which you can check out below.
