On Christmas, Boosie Badazz took to Instagram to announce that his forthcoming In My Feelings. (Goin’ Thru It) album will be released on New Years Day. He shared the news in two separate posts.
The Baton Rouge rapper first posted the album’s cover art, which consists of an x-ray highlighting his kidney, along with a lengthy caption.
“To all my supporters First MerryChristmas,” he wrote. “This end of the year has Been crazy as u know " I been going thru it " but God always shake me back ( facts) Last Christmas was the greatest. In a second post, he revealed that the project will drop on Jan. 1, 2016.
Earlier this month, Boosie announced that he is now cancer free thanks to a successful kidney surgery.
He first revealed his diagnosis on social media. Boosie’s original Instagram post remains on his account but without the striking caption, which read, ""I need all my fans to pray for me doctors told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know."
Aside from his health issues, Boosie has had a productive year as far as musical releases. On Halloween, he dropped his Thrilla mixtape, which features guest spots from Debbie, Snootie Wild, Rich Homie Quan and more.
Prior to that, he released Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, his first album in five years, since his release from prison in March 2014.
