On Boxing Day, both sides took home three points, with Everton defeating Newcastle United and Stoke City surprising Manchester United.
"It was another tremendous performance from us, and at key times a very professional one I would suggest," Stoke manager Mark Hughes said, according to PremierLeague.com. "I thought that we managed the game really well and maybe should have scored another goal on the counterattack. That said, I would certainly have taken 2-0 before the game. We will all go home in very good spirits and looking forward to the game against Everton on Monday."
Also focuses on today's match is Everton boss Roberto Martinez.
"With Stoke, we had a previous encounter with the tournament in Singapore, and since then they have added one or two players," he said, according to the team's official website. "It will be good to see what level they are now. They have already shown that on their day they can beat anyone. Stoke were very impressive against Manchester City not so long ago. They are a team that have some very important players with a lot of flair and creativity. We know how tough they can be. We faced them last season in a really competitive game and I expect exactly the same."
