Axwell / Ingrosso have joined in on the New Year's Eve fun by releasing the instrumental mix of their new single "Dream Bigger." The instrumental mix means that the small, but still important and inspirational lyrics from Pharrell, which is found in their live sets, are missing from the tune.
"Dream Bigger" is not available to purchase just yet, but fans can stream the song as many times as they would like on Spotify.
The tune is another stadium-sized track form the former Swedish House Mafia members who have grown accustomed to playing for some of the largest crowds in the world. "Dream Bigger" with its uplifting message (not found in the instrumental), demanding the listener to "ah f*ck it, dream bigger" plays into the happy, go lucky attitude the two Swedish DJs have.
Underneath that message, they craft an instrumental with distorted, Daft Punk-influenced synths, booming kicks and powerful electric guitar that is an homage to the rock gods who filled arenas before them.
2015 has come and gone for the duo with now officially six singles under their belt and five released in this calendar year such as "Something New" and "This Time." However fans still are waiting on the duo's album via Def Jam Recordings, which was expected at various times this year. However Axwell is a known perfectionist and can sit on music for years at a time (one of the new songs that appeared in their sets over the summer is an updated version of a 2010 Axwell ID), so the delay should be expected. We will see if they release their album in 2016, like Steve Angello, or just continue to release singles throughout the year.
Stream the "Dream Bigger" instrumental mix on Spotify below and stay tuned for the vocal mix hopefully at some point soon.
