The League One team is the obvious underdogs, but Chelsea's interim manager Guus Hiddink revealed that his team is not taking their opponents lightly in the FA Cup.
"We take all our opponents very seriously. My team and myself have watched part of their games," the manager said, according to Chelsea's official website. "It's their game here and they are dreaming of getting a good result. They have players like the striker [Paddy] Madden who already has 14 goals, so we are very well aware who is playing and who can cause danger so we take this opponent very seriously."
Scunthorpe manager Mark Robins explained to his team's website that there's plenty of excitement around today's game, but his side is going in hoping to win.
"We are looking forward to the game. We've had a few games to play before this one came around, but excitement builds. It's not too often you can play against the current champions of England, and that's where we're going," he said, according to United's website. "We want to get through, we're not going there with a defeatist attitude for sure. We know we're playing against world class players, and we're going to have to be on it all game."
