In November, Lil Durk shared his “My Beyoncé” collaboration with Dej Loaf. More recently, the track received video treatment, which shows the two rappers re-enacting the 2000 film, Love & Basketball.
From the dorm room scene, which was actually filmed on the campus of the University of Southern California, to the pivotal final one-on-one matchup, the nearly five-minute clip, full of #RelationshipGoals, is spot on with its recreation of the movie.
Though there has been speculation about whether or not the two are an actual item, they appear genuine in their relationship, even sharing a couple lip locks throughout the clip.
Loaf’s former girlfriend, Angeleah Speights, aka Aye Redd, took to social media making claims that Durk and Loaf's public affections and supposedly blossoming romance were purely to garner press. Speights’ subtle Instagram jabs about "people" not being true to themselves warranted a Twitter response from Loaf shortly thereafter.
Although Speights’ posts have been deleted, she reiterated her beliefs during an interview with Bossip.
"They're not together they're not a couple. They don't f*ck around at all. I think they're trying to make it seem like they're together. I don't know what it is but it's fake."
