LISTEN: Ariana Grande drops cut 'Yours Truly' song 'Boyfriend Material' on Twitter

Ariana Grande knows your shirt is made of "Boyfriend Material." So, please excuse those jokes. Last night, as a thanks and "little surprise" for her Arianators, the "Problem" singer dropped an unreleased track "Boyfriend Material" on her Twitter.

The song, which was cut from her fall 2013 debut album Yours Truly, is a sugary throwback jam. Blending together R&B music from Grande's two main influential decades, the 1950s and 1990s, the song is a peppy, upbeat dedication to the good guys in the world.

"And I never really thought my dreams would come true / Until I laid eyes on you / 'Cause you're boyfriend material / That's what you're made of, it's written on your label," Grande sings in the cutesy bridge and chorus.

The song is quite reminiscent of Spice Girls, with the vintage vibes and chorus of background singers, but the song remains a little bit of an earworm.

It's easy to see why it was cut from Yours Truly, however. Though the song works on its own, in the scheme of the bigger R&B anthems and ballads, this song sticks out like a sore thumb.

Good thing Grande dropped it online, though!

"Boyfriend Material" isn't the only new Ariana Grande song to hit the Internet this spring. She recently dropped the first single "Problem" from her untitled second studio album. The Iggy Azalea featuring, minimalistic R&B track is a solid contender for that "song of the summer" title and has thus far peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
