Tinashe is currently prepping the release of her sophomore album, Joyride, and she just announced the dates for her supporting world tour.
The 28-date trek will kick off in Minneapolis on Feb. 28 and travel throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia before wrapping on May 26 in Perth. During her North American run, the "2 On" singer will make stops in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta, and more. She will be joined by British DJ duo Snakehips, who she recently collaborated with on the single "All My Friends."
Back in November, Tinashe was featured on the cover of Dazed magazine. The publication reported that Joyride is slated to drop in January and features contributions from Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Hit-Boy, Travis $cott, Dev Hynes, Nic Nac and Boi-1da, as well as Chris Brown, who appears on the lead single “Player.”
“I want it to be exciting, I want it to keep you on your toes, I want people to not know what to expect,” Tinashe said. “It’s the perfect title for this point in my life… I feel like I’m on a joyride all the time. It’s dangerous, it’s an adventure, it’s emotional.”
Tinashe previously revealed that she has 30 tracks recorded for her forthcoming LP. No word on who to expect feature wise, aside from Brown, or whether or not the project will actually drop this month. Her critically acclaimed debut, Aquarius, included guest spots from ScHoolboy Q, Future and A$AP Rocky. The album dropped in October 2014.
In the meantime, check out Tinashe's itinerary for her Joyride tour below. Tickets go on sale on Friday (Jan. 15).
