Milan Men’s Fashion Week is in full swing and things have been interesting, to say the least, since its kick off on Saturday (Jan. 16). Lil Wayne was invited to take the stage, but he apparently wasn’t too happy with the way that his performance was going. Video footage has hit the Net, showing the rapper walking off the stage during his set.
As noted by HipHopDX, Wayne was performing at the Philipp Plein show when he asked the crowd to throw their hands in the air. He was in the middle of performing 2011’s "John" when he tossed his microphone in the air and walked off stage.
While the outlet indicates that Wayne’s request was met by an unmoved crowd, TMZ reports that Wayne’s early departure was linked to frustration with the venue’s technical difficulties and problems with his mic.
In the clip, he can be heard asking, “This what you want me to do? You serious?” Wayne further expressed his frustration on social media.
Lil Wayne is currently prepping for his upcoming Dedication tour with Rae Sremmurd. The tour kicks off on Thursday (Jan. 21) in El Paso, Texas and will extend until March 6 when it wraps in Lincoln, Nebraska. The tour will also hit lesser-played cities like Wallingford, Connecticut; Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Bossier City, Louisiana.
Aside from performing, it can be assumed that Wayne will be spending a considerable amount of time in the studio. It was recently reported that he will be making an album with Juvenile and former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh.
"It was a long time coming... The fans demanded this,” Juvenile said. “We wanted to show the planet that whatever was going on with us, we could get over that and be brilliant businessmen, entrepreneurs and put some money on the table and watch the magic happen.”
