One of the largest music festivals in the United States, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has announced its behemoth 2016 lineup. The two weekend spring affair in New Orleans will host headliners such as Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young + Promise of the Real, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan.
Other names who top the bill include Beck, Van Morrison, Nick Jonas, Paul Simon, J. Cole, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Julio Iglesias, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, My Morning Jacket and Gary Clark Jr.
With a lineup hundreds of acts deep there is a bit of everything for attendees heading down to the Big Easy this spring.
The top of the lineup is packed with arena rock acts, but there are other names like Mr. Lauryn Hill, The Isley Brothers, Grace Potter, Mystikal, Better Than Ezra, Galactic, Elle King and Janelle Monáe who provide some balance to the lineup.
Beyond the rock and rap acts designed to appeal to draw in out of towners to the festival, the festival sticks to its roots with funk and jazz as it fills out the billing.
Names like Herbie Hancock & Wayne Shorter, Gregory Porter, Elis Marsalis, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk with Art Neville, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings and Tab Benoit will be among those providing jazz and funk to the two weekend festival.
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will take place this spring from April 22-24 and April 28-May 1 in New Orleans City Park. Check out the daily lineup and tickets are available now through the festival's website for only $60 per weekend.
