As time continues to wind down for Love And Hip Hop: New York cast member Mendeecees Harris, who will soon serve out his eight-year prison sentence in a federal correctional institution, the reality star surrounded himself with close family members and friends for dinner. In an Instagram photo he shared what he described as the "Last Meal" with wife Yandy Smith Harris, close friend Juelz Santana and others.
Joined by the close family and friends that Harris believes will standy by him and be there for him no matter what, the father of three shared a meal with with what looks like thirteen individuals that he posted a picture of to Instagram on Monday night, Jan. 18; according to Rolling Out.
Pictured in the photo were the children of the reality star; two of them that he has with wife Smith Harris, and his oldest son from a previous relationship. We also see his best friend, rapper Juelz Santana, accompanied by his long-time girlfriend, former LHHNY castmate Kimbella. According to Hollywood Life, back in December, Harris finally received his sentencing from a drug trafficking charge that took place from 2005 to 2012. He was arrested and released on bond after numerous court dates to receive a bond hearing. Once Harris was sentenced, Smith Harris took to Instagram to thank her fans and supporters for their love during their trying times.
Although the 37-year-old was sentenced to serve eight years in a New York prison, though he doesn't believe he will have to serve the entire sentence. Harris stated that doing that amount of time is not likely because he has already served 15 months of his sentence while awaiting a bond hearing and good behavior will also become a factor.
"I'm not going to be serving the eight years in jail," explained in a reported interview, according to Rolling Out. "The only way you serving eight years [is] if you go in there [and are] seen [as a] troublemaker." The reality star explained how the sentencing could have been much worse.
"[Eight years is] not the worst," added Harris. "The worst could've been 20 years, but eight years with good [behavior] and programs is five years, so let's get this over with."
Harris is scheduled to begin his sentence in four to six weeks, according to VH1, the network that airs LHHNY.
