On Monday (Jan. 18), Khloé Kardashian made an announcement that Snoop Dogg would be the first guest on her upcoming talk show, Kocktails With Khloé. The news took some by surprise after Snoop’s Caitlyn Jenner diss on Instagram over the summer.
Back in June, Snoop came under fire for posting what some considered a transphobic meme referring to the retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete as a "science project.”
While the meme promoted Akon's electricity initiative in Africa, it came off as offensive to others in the process. The photo featured an image of Akon with the text, "Shout out to Akon! He is about to supply 600 million africans with solar power. Im really upset that this isn't major news but that science project bruce jenner is #Society."
However, it appears the Kardashian-Jenner clan have swept that under the rug. In a more recent Instagram post, the “Young, Wild & Free” rapper posed wedged between Kendall Jenner and Kardashian.
Earlier this month, Kardashian shared a teaser trailer for her show, which will focus on her and her guests as they sip on enough cocktails to spill the beans on stories that fall under the "crazy" category. She previously hosted her well-received Khloé After Dark radio show several years ago and had a brief stint on X Factor alongside Mario Lopez. The first of eight episodes of Kocktails With Khloé will premiere on FYI on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
Aside from prepping for his forthcoming television appearance, Snoop recently released a new album with Daz Dillinger titled Cuzznz. The project features contributions from Dam-Funk, Kurupt and Shon Lawon.
