Who hasn't wanted to be turned into a Muppet? Ed Sheeran clearly wanted that for himself, so he went full fuzzy for the new music video for his lead x single "Sing." Today (May 22), the singer-songwriter dropped the official visual component to the saucy Pharrell-produced track on his official Facebook page, and things get pretty weird.
The video begins with something to drink and something to smoke, as Muppet Sheeran goes into the seedy underbelly of a major metropolitan. He parties all night long, drinking himself into oblivion, signing karaoke to his own single with some Japanese businessmen and partying with more than a couple of strippers. Muppet Sheeran also seems to drunkenly drive, which is not cool in both the Muppet and human world.
These two worlds of human and Muppet collide, as real life Sheeran appears, jamming out to "Sing" in front of a trippy blue and white screen alongside his acoustic guitar.
Eventually, he's joined by the track's producer Pharrell and Muppet Sheeran for their own late night hangs and jam session.
