Mike Huckabee's Adele 'Hello' Parody Campign Video Is Just Awful

There is a theme of terrible music from the Republican presidential candidates in this 2016 election cycle. There are more of them, so the odds of some awful sounds being created are higher, but this is remarkable. Mike Huckabee is the latest to try and fall into the "attempt at relevancy" trap and put a political and just downright awful spin on Adele's 25 single "Hello" for a snazzy campaign video.

There are so many things wrong with the video - it is hard to find a spot to begin. They found a new person to cover Adele and sing new lyrics pumping up Huckabee's credentials and bashing others on the campaign trail like Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. The problem is she obviously doesn't sound even close to as good as Adele. There is mention of selfies, Arkansas, guns and a strong whiff of desperation with lines like "hello Iowa caucus night / We've called and knocked a thousand times."

The footage was pieced together with various news clips and other bits from Huckabee predictably on the phone and around Iowa talking to folks and doing political things. The footage looks like some grainy camcorder shots, but it is just a parody clip.

Hopefully Adele's label sees this and strikes it down for copyright. Just do us all a favor and remove this XL Recordings.

There are other signs the multi-media campaign isn't going well. At this writing, Huckabee has only 1,215 subscribers on his YouTube Channel with over 70 videos posted. Most commenters on this parody video seemed to think that the channel had been hacked and the fact that there are over three times as many dislikes as there were likes is not a good sign

We are still waiting on the Killer Mike Sanders rap and something desperate from Martin O'Malley, because he needs to do something to get the youth... right?
