Speaking to the press ahead of today's match, veteran Chelsea defender Gary Cahill reflected on the team's improvement and their future.
"We look like we are going in the right direction," he said, according to PremierLeague.com. "Of course, the first half of the season was a disaster. But there was another good performance in the FA Cup, not just the result but the way we moved the ball. If you get results and don't lose games, it breeds confidence and everything comes back. I wouldn't say we are totally there yet but we are definitely going in the right direction."
Meanwhile, Watford captain Troy Deeney spoke to his team's website about taking on the big club today.
"A lot of people are going to be saying it's an easy win for Chelsea, so all the pressure is on them," Deeney said. "But I think Wednesday night, at home, under the floodlights is the perfect time to play them. We'll hopefully have a full house again and obviously the crowd have been massive for us this season. I don't want to jinx it, but I don't think we've had a bad performance so far at home this season, and hopefully that can continue."
