Ichthus 2014 - The Return of the King of Christian Music Festivals Pushed Back

In December of 2012, the Ichthus Ministries Board of Directors made the sad announcement that they were closing the doors after 42 years of music due to financial issues. 2013 was the first year without the nation’s longest-running music festival since 1970 and June just wasn't the same.

This past March, the news came out that Creation Festivals had stepped up and partnered with Ichthus to bring the music back. The move brought Ichthus into the large family of festivals that includes Creation Northeast, Creation Northwest and Sonshine Festival.

The grand re-launch was supposed to be held June 4-7, 2014 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. However, due to this year’s unusually high number of snow days, school calendars have been extended into and beyond the festival dates. This has made it impossible for many to attend. Because of that, the re-launch has been moved to next year - July 8-11, 2015.

So while June will still never be the same, July just got much better (starting next year at least)!

As the festival dates draw closer, the line-up will be announced. You can bet it will be good though. In the past, everyone from Anberlin to tobyMac has appeared.
