Why Yeezus, Why? You had just roasted Wiz Khalifa in the most epic way possible, bringing the Twitterverse to their feet and creating a new phrase "cool pants." On the eve of your new album, TLOP, you just had to not say anything too crazy, but then again we are dealing with Mr. West. Kanye West decided to come out last night and support Bill Cosby, saying simply in all caps "BILL COSBY INNOCENT" with 10 exclamation points.
Technically Bill Cosby has not been convicted of a crime yet, but this case is looking worse and worse for the beleaguered TV icon, who admitted to drugging women for sex in past depositions and is being accused of various sexual assault crimes by dozens of women.
He is not the only one in the world of entertainment who has come to defence of Bill Cosby. Rappers like Joey Bada$$, who has a history of taking someone left field views on things, R Kelly, Waka Flocka Flame and The Game have all supported him. The View's Raven-Symoné and Whoopi Goldberg have also supported Cosby.
Those who do support the alleged rapist have been accused to being complicit in rape culture and in denial of the overwhelming evidence that stands against Cosby. Though it isn't all that surprising to see Kanye take a radical stance on anything, expect the backlash to be just as strong against him, maybe more, as a father of a daughter.
This comes on the eve of his new album TLOP, which is set to drop tomorrow, Thursday Feb. 11 with a grand premiere at Madison Square Garden for his Yeezy 3 fashion show. With his official return to Twitter, Kanye has had a ball, sharing all sorts of wild claims about his album and beefing with other artists and brands. This is just another look inside the wild mind of Kanye West.
