As the Dallas News reports, the cowboy rides away.
Country music legend George Strait is putting an end to his touring days with a career closer concert.
The sold out show will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on June 7.
Supporting acts for the show include Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride.
With a line-up like this, fans are sure to pour in the stadium by the masses and they paid a pretty penny for their tickets, too.
Yahoo reports that the average ticket price is $681. The median price is $426, according to secondary ticket marketplace Vivid Seats.
The search engine's music blog also reports that the "secondary ticket marketplace" prices are comparable to what scalpers can command for such top rock stars as U2 and the Rolling Stones.
But fans of Strait would say he is worth it. Over the years, Strait has built a legacy for himself through timeless country music.
He first emerged on the scene with the release of his first country hit, "Unwound," in the spring of 1981.
In his career, Strait has had 85 top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, second only to Eddy Arnold in the 70-year history of the chart.
He has sold 45 million albums since January 1991, when Nielsen SoundScan began tracking U.S. music sales. He is ranked seventh among all artists, and second only to Garth Brooks among country artists.
George Strait has had five No. 1 albums on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.
