JImmel Kimmel is back at it. One of his most popular segments, mean tweets has called upon some of music's biggest names just in time for the Grammys to read off some negative comments that people like to say about artists on social media. This edition features names like Drake, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Little Big Town, Lionel Richie, Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor and many more.
Most of the tweets are childish or weak, but the one aimed at Ed Sheeran is rather mean-spirited, saying "I can't stand this new Sheeran.. Like why TF are you happy on your records? You're a f**kin ginger for f*ck's sake. Be Sad."
With her Best New Artist award win in the bag, Trainor read her Tweet, "Meghan Trainor is like if the sassy girl you used to work with at Express just randomly had a singing career".
Other can be rather humorous, like the salvo lobbed at Mumford & Sons.
"I love how music takes you away to another place. Like Mumford & Sons is playing at this restaurant so now I'm going to another restaurant."
Drake always seem to have good ones, as someone described him as "a ferret with a baby afro."
Lionel Richie got a salty individual who didn't understand that they were probably made to the man's music.
"If Lionel Richie wants Once, Twice, Three times a lady... Then he's a picky Mother F**ker! Take what you can get a**hole," read the tweet.
It isn't clear if this acts as a deterrence or encourages to write more of these. If could be just that people are just awful online and there is no stopping the vitriol that will be spewed on social media.
Watch and have a laugh at the expense of some of the biggest musicians in the world below.
