Summer Camp Music Festival has announced the second phase to its 2016 lineup. Among those included in the lineup are Mudcrutch, the forerunners to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers which is making a comeback and preparing a new album, Big Grizmatik, the super trio of Big Gigantic, Griz and Gramatik, The Roots, Excision and Ani DiFranco.
Also included in the second wave of artists are George Clinton & P-Funk, Lil Dicky, Lotus, Fishbone, Louis The Child, Cherub, SNBRN, Exmag, Grandtheft, Sam Feldt and many others.
They will join already announced headliners like the festival's two steady hands moe and Umphrey's McGee who headline each of the three days, STS9, Thievery Corporation, Savoy, Shiba San, Slow Magic, Emancipator, Eoto, Lettuce, Anna Lunoe, Dopapod.
Now with 90 artists in total, the Summer Camp lineup is starting to come into focus with its mix of traditional DJs, who range from trap acts like Grandtheft to tropical house DJs like Sam Feldt. Then there is a mix of live electronic acts like the rare performance of Griz, Gramatik and Big Gigantic all together, Exmag and Cherub.
There are still other acts with rock, hip-hop and jam backgrounds who sprinkle the lineup and give it some balance.
There are still more artists yet to be announced in the coming weeks as festival season fast approaches, despite what the weather may feel like outside for many of the destinations for these events.
Sumer Camp Music Festival will take place in Chillicothe, Illinois over Memorial Day Weekend from May 27-29. Tickets are on sale now through the festival's website.
