No matter what your opinion may be about the David Bowie medley tribute performed by Lady Gaga during the 2016 Grammys, New Zealand singer Lorde blew the world away with her rendition of "Life on Mars" at the BRIT Awards earlier this week. It's clear to see why the late Bowie himself previously praised the young singer as the future of music, and it looks like his son, director Duncan Jones, agrees! Unlike his sentiments for the Grammys tribute, Jones had only love for Lorde in a recent Twitter post.

We previously reported on the clear shade that Jones sent Gaga's way after the 2016 Grammy Awards ceremony, including some reactions from fans as well. Basically, the fact that an Intel commercial ran right before it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, while Duncan Jones apparently just wasn't a fan.
This time around, Jones was definitely happy with the musical tribute to his irreplaceable father. Check out his Twitter reaction right here (via USA Today):
Finally found the links to tonight's Brits. Just... beautiful. Thank you.

While we're at it, check out what Lorde had to say about the experience:
such an honour getting to perform #BRITs2016 paying tribute to my hero — Lorde (@lorde) February 25, 2016
i was so nervous in the wings, and then i whispered to myself "just sing it to david", and nothing else mattered
— Lorde (@lorde) February 25, 2016
also, performing with bowie's brilliant touring band - including the inimitable @mikegarson who played DB's keys since the 70s! - was unreal — Lorde (@lorde) February 25, 2016
Aside from the Twitter post from Bowie's son, you're probably here to watch the video of Lorde's performance, aren't you? How many times have you watched it so far? It's definitely a performance worth reliving as many times as you can!
