When it comes to Rihanna’s staying power in the music industry and the mark she will leave, talk show host Wendy Williams shared an interesting perspective that will certainly upset Navy fans. Williams recently shaded the “Work” singer, saying that she won't achieve Beyoncé's legend status.
A clip from Williams' show made its rounds online after it was posted on Twitter by Shady Music Facts.
“Rihanna will not be a legend,” Williams said. “Beyoncé will do her residency in Vegas at 55 years old and you will go see her. Rihanna will attempt to do it, but as soon as she gets up there and says the b-word better have my money [crowd clapping].”
She continued saying, “Rihanna is good for right now, but she’s not a legend nor will she be.”

On a previous episode of her show, Williams criticized Rihanna for her delayed album release, bailing on her Grammy performance and postponing her world tour. She noted that the pop singer may have a sense of entitlement after entering the music industry with a co-sign from Jay Z.
"I just feel like sometimes when you earn something," Williams said, "but you earn it without having to really put up your dukes and fight for it, that sometimes when the fight becomes necessary in your travel, you don’t know how to fight."
This week, Rihanna earned her fourteenth No. 1 on the Hot 100 with her Drake-assisted single, “Work.” She surpassed Michael Jackson with the third-most songs to reach the top of the singles chart.
Prior to that, she revealed that her lengthy tour, which was originally slated to kick off on Feb. 26 at San Diego's Viejas Arena, will now begin in Jacksonville, Florida on March 12. As previously reported, 8 of Rihanna’s North American shows have been rescheduled due to production issues.
