Today has been a big day for festival lineups and yet another one has been unveiled. Free Press Summer Festival in Houston, Texas has shared its 2016 lineup with a top-heavy cast of headliners. The bill will include names like deadmau5, Modest Mouse, The National, Leon Bridges and Young The Giant.
Also included on the lineup are artists such as Jamie xx, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Chainsmokers, Big Gigantic, the collaborative project of Big Boi and Phantogram, Big Grams, Zeds Dead, Gogol Bordello, Matt & Kim and Logic.
Highlights from the smaller names on the bill include Built To Spill, Mac Miller, A$AP Ferg, Borns, Mac Demarco and Tory Lanez.
The lineup has a diverse cast of characters who will head down to Houston just as summer is really getting underway. The top two acts come from the mouse family and Modest Mouse leads the indie and rock acts with The National, X Ambassadors, Matt & Kim, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Built To Spill and Mac Demarco. The other mouse, deadmau5, is the headliner for other dance acts like Jamie xx, Big Gigantic, Zeds Dead, The Chainsmokers and 3Lau.
Since it is Houston and its rich history of hip-hop, there are some solid names on the bill like Logic, Tory Lanez, Mac Miller and A$AP Ferg. The bands will perform across five different stages and since it is summer there will be free water stations.
Last year's lineup was headlined by artists like Major Lazer, R. Kelly, Skrillex, Weezer, Flume, St. Vincent, Chance The Rapper, Belle & Sebastian and The Decemberists.
Free Press Summer Festival will take place on June 4 and June 5 at Eleanor Tinsley Park in Houston, Texas. Two day passes are on sale now for $148.50 plus fees and a single-day ticket costs $92.50. Check out the full lineup below.
