Sasha & John Digweed made a major announcement on Friday. The pair and former collaborators announced that they were bringing back Sasha & Digweed for a special reunion this fall - on the 20th anniversary of their celebrated Northern Exposures double album.
Announced on April Fool's Day, fans thought that this must be some sick joke to get their hopes up. However it has been confirmed that this is for real and the pair are getting back together in September.

The announcement comes just a week after the pair went back-to-back for a surprise set at Ministry of Sound's Easter Bedrock Party on March 24. It was the first time that the pair had played a set together since 2010. They have been regulars in the past notably in the late 1990s and early 2000's but drifted apart to focus on their own strong solo careers that have netted albums and big festival bookings.

No word on how much they will do for this reunion - if it will just be a tour or if there will be more music as well. Sasha just released an ambient and downtempo compilation Scene Delete for London-based label Late Night Tales, while Digweed also released a compilation of his own at the end of 2015. This sets up some possible new collaborations for the pair, but nothing is confirmed on the music front. Stay tuned for any news.
